Our experience while making the video of mixed marriage in Malaysia

Hello everybody, Thanks to Allah for giving us strength to presenting our DST video to all of you. We're really happy with the positive feedback from all of you. We hopes we can be the best among the best. We are really happy when our DST can attract the crowd and make our class happening especially when the celebrities pictures show with the description. Thanks a lot to our beloved lecturer, Madam Fuzirah for her guidance,  advice and  a lot of information that she share with us in the class.

There a lot of exciting and sad experience we would like to share with all of you. Especially during choosing tittle for our video. Many tittle are be recommended but finally our group have decided to choose mixed marriage issues in Malaysia. Two of our member are from the same courses. One of our member, Asnita get an idea to create a facebook account for our group. Through the group, we can discuss and communicate through each other easily and it will save our cost rather than using handphone to communicate to each other. This is because we are not from the same college, so its difficult to us to meet frequently due to different class schedule.

We also use a gmail account to create a blog. In this blog we can share our experience during making a DST. We also can read other groups experience and write comment through the blog. This gmail account afasna is the combination of our group member’s name.Afaf, Asnita and Diana. We have discuss our DST project at Tun Sri Lanang Library (PTSL) and level 3 at our faculty.

We have search an information through the Internet for Malaysian artists who intermarried with their partners. We also display the information regarding mixed marriage. The statistics of mixed marriages in Malaysia with a partner from the other countries are also included. We have facing a problem with our voice recording video that we make at PTSL.  We have found that the sound audio problems happen when our voices cannot be heard clearly and the image blurred. Before this we use one of our member handphone to making a recording. After that we make a decision to recorded once again using handycam to obtain the best results. We also do not know how to use Movie Maker so we have referred to our friends to solve this problems to improving our skill and knowledge about IT

We also had an idea to create a video based on the love story between the two countries. That is  Abdulhamid Mido from Egypt and the Nadia Ali from Malaysia. They meet in a social media network, Facebook. After three month of relationship, Abdulhamid decided to come to Malaysia to meet her. Three years later they decided to married with the consent of their parents. We use the Print Screen technique to obtain the best images.

We intend to make an interview with foreigner to ask his opinion about mixed marriage. One of our team members,  Asnita have been meet with one of the foreigner that study Master in Physic in UKM. His name is Farid and he from Iran. He has agree to be interviewed to asking his opinion regarding mixed marriage in Malaysia. We have made the interview session several times cause we have facing with audio problem. We have made a recording at level 3 FSSK, as it is an open area, the voice in this recording cannot be hear, then we changed our plan to make our recordings in our class. We spend our time one whole day with him. We also discuss many things especially about his country. We also gave him gift as a token of appreciation for his willingness to help us in this project. After all information is collected we have tried our best to complete the project.

Although we have facing with a lot of problem, but we can overcome all problems with the cooperation of all team members. We also learn how to improve communication between us, our weaknesses in English, and also learn a new skill and knowledge about IT . All the joy and sorrow we share, we have made a valuable experience  that we will not be forgotten. (AFAF)

Our Experience while making the video (Hijabs Trends Among Student in UKM)

After completing the presentation of DST, a variety of experiences we have obtained. Experience in selecting members of the group, we feel very fortunate that we are of the same classmates. Therefore does not arise a problem in forming the group.Experience in our titling unanimously to agree to the leaders to select a title to wear hijab trend among students of UKM.Although the various topics we try to choose but we feel that this title is very appropriate for ourselves and other partners.

Next on our experience in the process of completing our work in the field survey. We chose the location PUSANIKA and Masjid India. To start the journey we had to make proper planning for avoide any inconvenience. It also teaches us indirectly in the management of the planned time, so all went well.

Finally, in co-operation group, thankfully all our team members give a very good commitment in time and also technical. In addition, we also share the idea of carrying out this task with enthusiasm and determination.

Among the technical problems we face is the file we have saved the file available technical problems that we can not deliver. Therefore, we are trying to complete a new video. Finally, exactly at 4:50 am, we were able to complete the task. in addition, we also face problems in finding the respondent. But on his good friend one of our group, we finally have a very good-humored respondent and betting.

During the presentation, we only talk about it without using the script and come with their own idea only. Presentation was smooth and advanced. But we are very satisfied in their jobs or tasks that we have completed. We hope our experience will get us to remember until whenever.

Behind the scene experiences ^_*( facebook love)

Assalamualaikum and a very good day to Madam Fuzirah and all of my beloved friends.  Here, i would like to share with you all about behind the scene experiences that we had through together almost three months to complete the DST from the beggining until the end. There were a lots of memories that we had face and share together to finish our project. Opps, sorry . I'm forgot to introduce my group. We are from group which present about falling in love in social networking, facebook. Do you still remeber? No? Never mind!! Its ok..
Here , the story begin. We were still remember until today how we meet and form a group for the DST. At the day, Madam Fuzirah ask us to form a team for the DST , we decided to work together in a team. Me (Azila), Asnida and Suriani are from the same course, Malay study. So , we had known each other before that. Fuzianti we just know in the BIUS class. She is from linguistic study. But, this is no problem to us for working together as long as all of the group member realize their own responsibilities. After that, we spent our time to discuss about our topic. At the first, we were so confuse and difficult to decide the suitable topic to make a video digital story telling. Firstly, we plan to make a video about cooking. Then, one of us have an idea to make about our journey life as a new student in UKM. However after we discuss so many times we got an idea to present a topic about falling in love in social networking facebook.
We  had choose the topic because this is the current issue of concern today by people. But here,  i do'nt want to talk about the topic because you all have seen it in our class before. What i want to share with you all is the experiences we had through to make the video become true. After we got the topic, our leader Fuzianti ask everyone of the group member to find the information and sources that relates with our topic from reading articles like magazines, newspaper and also through the internet. Then, we make an interview with some of our friend to ask their opinion about the topic. They were very sporting and willing to spend their busy time to help us. We are very appreciate it.
After finish make an interview, we start make a video using the software window live movie maker.  Thanks a to Asnida because she contributed a lots in the process to make the video. She have more experiences and skill than us. Then, we find suitable music to put in this video. After that, we start record our voices to contribute in the video. There were many times we have to repeat record our voice because we thought its so funny . Then, the last preparation we do were to edit again our video to be more clear and perfect. So, if you all notice there have still some mistake in our video, so sorry!! We just try our best.
However the most important and sweet experiences we got  are  the learning process we have collect from the project. There were a lots of thing we were learnt from it. We learnt how to co-operate in a  team, learnt about leadership, friendship, patience, learnt about ict skill, communication skill  and others. This was the awesome experiences for us that we never forget for the rest  of our life.
Thats all i want to share with you all today. Thank you for reading.  Have a nice day. Good bye !
p/s: sorry for the broken grammar ( noor azila binti abdul rashid)

WHAT WE HAVE LEARN FROM DIGITAL STORY TELLING?

 LEARNING EXPERIENCE ...
Assalamualaikum and hello friends..

Foremost, Alhamdulillah and thankful to Allah s.w.t because He gives us an opportunity in terms of healthy, opinion, facilities and others when doing our project done with successfully. I am also expressing my sincere gratitude to our project lecturer from BIUS class ( Set 11), Madam Fuzirah due to a priceless opportunity and a solid trust to pursue in this project for our digital story telling. Her continuous helps, knowledgeable guidance and outstanding information show us a direction to complete this project (DST) in success.
Our group made up a fieldwork to research about beggars.  So we go to the Kuala Lumpur, the busy city to make our research.  We went there by car and arrived around 12 o’clock in the afternoon.  When we arrived there, we have to find a car park in that area, which were very difficult to find.  Luckily, we managed to find the car park at MARA Department which was just a stone’s throw away from our fieldwork area.  Then, we started our fieldwork’s trip at Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman.  There is a place called “night market” at Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman.  We had found a few beggars around the area that begging for money and help.  After that we went to Masjid India its take around ten minutes walking from Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman.  After that, we went to Jalan Hang Tuah by using public transport, LRT.  That was a terrible experience for us, when one of us was attack by a crazy man.  He follow us until the waiting area.  Luckily, a policeman saw us and he help us to make the crazy man stay away from us.  But one of us was crying terribly because of afraid with that crazy man.  Then, to make our work more efficient, we divided our group into two.  First group go to Bandaraya while the others go to Masjid Jamek.  Along the way to Bandaraya and Masjid Jamek, we did take several picture of beggars and their survival.  We can see that a lot of beggars are actually handicaps.  They managed to get money trough sympathy from all people.  We end our fieldwork at 5 p.m. and return back to UKM.  It was unforgettable experience that i get from our group fieldwork.
Next is related to our strength is we known each other since class Dr Shahidi. Thus our interaction is more convenient. Furthermore, we have use social networking and created a group in Facebook. So, our group take this opportunity on discussing about DST’s project in our Facebook group which is, named DST BIUS.  These give us place to always discuss. Besides that, we have also some weaknesses such as, lack of data.  In the beginning of our work, we have tried very hard to find information of data like pictures, statistic and respondent’s of our interview session. Last but not least, we had difficulty of finding right software to be use in this project. At first we want to use Cyber link Power Director 10 but this software is too expensive to us. We decided to use the latest version of Movie Maker.
Furthermore, regarding about improvement the skills on making this project are firstly, ICT skills, the software that we already know is making video with windows movie maker. Then Madam told us in class about new software that is cyber link power director. We try to learn how this software works but because of technical problem we faced a lot of problem, the solution is we continue to use windows movie maker.
Secondly, in term of the communication skill, this is the skill very important for us because as a group discussion, we have all four members which have different ideas.  Next, we learn that from the skill teach us how to communicate in the right way, and there is no hurt anyone, so we can cooperate together happily. Besides that, we can apply it in our daily life such as when we talking with lecturer, other members or the strangers.
Lastly, about our language skill, which is most of the lesson we get from lecturer, Madam Fuzira in class. We have to know what is a noun, verbs, adjective and many more. How to make the correct grammar, the tenses like present and past and others?  Furthermore, we also learn the pronunciation some difficult words. At the same time we had increase our vocabulary with using synonym words.
Finally, making this video is the new amazing experience that we have ever and forever.

Learning DST

The learning that we have learn from make a Digital Story Board Falling in Love on Social Networking Site Facebook is improve our ICT skill. Before we make the DST, we do not know how to make a movie by movie maker software and we never download that software before this. Now, we know how to use the movie maker to make a movie but not very expert yet and after this we will learn more about this software to improve our skill to make a movie that will coming soon.
Beside thats, from DST we also learn how to work together as team. Even we are not a same hostel, we are still can give a co-operation. From the discussion, we known each other start with a background family, our programm and so on. so it can make friend relationship between us and its more easy for us to do work together.

We are also have learn about a communication skills where how we communicate during discussion, face to face and on social networking site facebook. We learn how to interview people and itis help us to increase our confident level to talk to another people.

THE INFO REGARDING MIXED MARRIAGE

Marriage also called matrimony or wedlock is a social union or legal contract between people that create kinship. The term mixed marriage originated in roman Catholicism, where it refer to a marriage between a catholic and a non-catholic. Mixed marriage is also called exogamy.

Mixed marriages can be classified to three categories. There are mixed marriages through the race, the state and inter-religious. Mixed marriage through the race is mixed marriages between two individuals involving different races an examples is an Indian man married to a Chinese woman.

Mixed marriage through nation is mixed marriage that happens between nations. The example is a Malay Muslim married to an Arabian Muslim. Mixed marriages between two individuals involving different religions. An example is one person who is a Hindu married to another person who is a Buddhist.

The positive impact of mixed marriage are we can know and learn about other race and culture. We also can spread religion. Children from Muslim marriage also inherits good genes Children of mixed marriage have proven to have better health. Generation of mixed marriages are also not racist and open minded to other cultures. There are unity and harmony among races in this country.

The negative effects of mixed marriage are religious belief easily shaken as they are open to foreign culture. The problem of communication between couples and family members. When the mother or father becomes apostates this will affect their children specially during the process of getting child custody. Commitment of husband to his wife who convert to Islam

In conclusion, mixed marriages have got both positive and negative impacts, to the couples and to their children (AFAF)

THE DAY WE MEET A FOREIGNER

We have discussed to arrange an interview with people to get their opinion about mixed marriage in Malaysia. Luckily one of our group members suddenly met with one foreign student in UKM who was pursuing Master in Physics at Faculty of Science and Technology. The guy was very nice to us and agreed to cooperate in our Project. He was from Iran and his name was Mr. Farid.

He also gave his opinion on how to improve our project. One of our group members had interviewed him to hear his opinion on mixed marriage. He shared his opinion on mixed marriage including the pro and cons of mixed marriage. We asked his opinion if given an option of mixed marriage. He was ready to answer our questions and co-operated well. We spent the entire day to finish the recording of interview session in order to get the best results. Fortunately our respondent was willing to co-operate until all the given tasks were done. The conversation recording took place at the third floor pathway around the FSSK but due to unclear voice recording had caused us to take decision to change to another location for this purpose. The recording was carried out at quite a closed area so that the voice could be clearly heard.

We felt grateful, delighted and never had thought we managed to befriend a person from another country as good as him. Warm-hearted, open-minded, and opinion sharing attitude made the all-day-long recording not bored or tired. On the completion of the recording session, we took an opportunity to chat with the Iran student. We got to ask about his motherland and exchanged ideas on a lot of things. He was willing to share exciting stories about his country which flourish our knowledge. We presented some souvenirs to the student as a token of appreciation for his willingness to spend his time to be interviewed.  (ASNITA)

PROJECT EXECUTION FROM TIME TO TIME

From time to time we have collected and combined all information and discussed every type of problems so that we could achieve the solutions together. Each group member has given their best commitment in executing the group’s assignment. We obtained a lot of information from various sources which helped us to add details to our project. Usually we would hold a meeting at PTSL or FSSK third floor pathway.

We held meeting weekly on days where none of us have lecture or activities. We would also meet up right after the end of lecture supposed there was an early dismissal. We made a video recording at PTSL but unfortunately we encountered some audio malfunctioning. Nevertheless the problem was fixed when one of our group members tried to get a video cam and thus we were able to re-record our conversation video.

We could see other groups’ tenacity doing discussion and strive to finish their assignment well. We were impressed with their enthusiasm and cooperation. Before the arrival of week 11, we have requested help from a few groups on obtaining information not just related to blog but how to use Windows Live Movie Maker. Various planning have been arranged from week to week to ensure the smoothness of the project flow. Every member worked hard so as the project can be fairly executed.(ASNITA)

Muhammad Muhizsham  was with my team members and works of Adam and Soleh has agreed to select a title as the title of our video origami. origami folding is an art that began in Japan. We have chosen the art folding or origami birds.

We chose this topic because it is difficult to do and we rarely get these skills. ability to make origami bird is important, if not skills not sure we will be able to make this origami

We want to share about benefit what we get when to origami. firstly, we will be more creative in creating new materials. if no value creativity, we will let origami into the garbage. Second, we will be a follow instructions, making origami, we need to listen to instructions well. third, we will be a careful. Care in making origami is important.

I hope that friends will participate in making this origami on presentation. the final word from us, wait for our presentation.

Assalamualaikum

Hello everybody. We are from group afasna, combination of our members’ name. Afaf, Asnita and Diana. We want to apologize for the late update of this blog and to give the description for our DST Project. We have chosen to present about mixed marriage issues in Malaysia. Why do we choose this topic? In our opinion this topic is related to our life.

Firstly we collect all data regarding mixed marriage in Malaysia. There we draw the statistic of mixed marriage in Malaysia. Based on the statistic, we found that a lot of Malaysians are involved in mixed marriage. There are not only for commoner but it applies to famous celebrities too. Why do you think this phenomenon happen? There are three types of mixed marriage that were studied. First off, marriage between two people of different races. For example marriage of Chinese woman to Indian man. Second type is marriage between two people from different nation. For example Malaysian marriage to American people. Lastly is marriage between people of different religions. For example Hindu marriage to a person who is a Buddhist.

Mixed marriage has its positive and negative effects. On the positive side, they learn about theirs partner’s race and culture. Apart from that, mixed marriage helps to spread religion. There is source that stated offspring from a mixed marriage inherit good genes. Through studies, it was proven that these offspring possess good health. Mixed marriage’s generation do not has racial attributes as they were exposed to different cultures, more open-minded and respect other cultures. Last but not least, unity and harmony between races in this country can be manifested.

Every affair has its pro and cons. There are also negative effects from mixed marriage. The first effect, religion’s belief becomes unsteady due to the exposure to foreign culture. Second effect is communication problem between partners and partners’ families. Other than that, when a mother or father apostate, it will give effect to their children should a custody battle happen. Spouse tends to bear enormous commitment to other half who embraced Islam. From here we can see, mixed marriage indeed renders positive and negative effects nevertheless it is up to partner themselves. If there is tolerance between each other and sense of responsibility then the marriage castle built can be preserved.

We hope the issue we bring up in this project can be treated as useful information to fellow friends. We from the asfana group would like to hear comment from our comrades on mixed marriage. You can share your own experience you knew about this issue. We highlighted this issue because it is close to the community and it is happening around us. (ASNITA)

HIJABS TREND AMONG STUDENTS AT UKM

The Mohd Azam Rozain group members consists of Nurul Azlia binti Bakaruddin, Nohidayu binti Abdul Rahman, and Wan Mahirah binti Wan Khalid has selected the title Hijabs Trend among Students at UKM. We have carried out research in different areas. The place is Jalan Masjid India, and around PUSANIKA at UKM.

The reason our study was to see how fashion covers in UKM students to keep up with the latest in modern fashion. In addition, we also want to adentify different types of hijabs by students in UKM. Then why we chose this title because it identify creativity in styling UKM students wearing hijabs. Last, we also want to identify why UKM students (women) like to follow trends.

Our goal in conducting this study is to ensure the lid of a guide or a choice today. Futhermore, our goal is also due to see whether the UKM students covered solely for fashion or religious requirements. Ultimate goal is to demonstrate the diversity of ways of wearing the hijabs at the this time  that can be used as a guide.

As a conclusion, just to cover all students are able to follow fashion and denied modernization of thought that says that if a covered woman can not be fashionable and out dated. Especially with the fashion covered as long as does not violate the bounds of Islamic law or religion.

Here is article about facebook love.
The Advantages and Disadvantages to Using Social Networking Sites to Find Dates

Have you been looking for love, but in all of the wrong places? Many singles are fed up with the traditional bar scene; therefore, many are looking for alternatives when it comes to meeting and possibly falling in love with someone. One of those alternatives is online dating. Online dating has skyrocketed in popularity. Millions of Americans have turned to the internet in hopes of finding love. If you are thinking about doing the same, you may be wondering if it is really worth it. To determine whether or not it is, you are advised to examine the advantages and disadvantages of online dating.

Before you can begin to examine the advantages and disadvantages of using your social networking website for dating, it is important to remember one thing. There are two main types of social networking websites. The first type is often classified as traditional networking websites. These websites are websites that tend to have an open membership. An open membership means that anyone can join them. The second type are known as specialty social networking websites. Specialty social networking websites tend to focus on a particular topic or interest, such as online dating.

One thing that you may not know about online dating and social networking is that they are almost always connected. When many individuals go in search for love online, many head to online dating websites. Did you know that online dating websites are actually socially networking websites? What sets online dating websites apart from traditional social networking sites is that all of the individuals who are a part of the online community are looking to find love. In fact, that is one of the many advantages to using social networking websites, especially those with a focus on relationships.

When you join a traditional social networking site, one that allows all different types of internet users to join, it is often hard to tell what many are looking for. A large number of network users are looking for love, but many more are only looking for friendships. Online dating websites help to eliminate confusion and awkward moments, especially when approaching someone who is not interested in starting a relationship.

Another one of the many benefits to using online social networking sites to find a date is that you literally have an unlimited number of different choices. Social networking websites have expended overtime. In fact, many networks have as many as a million members. This means that if you are looking for love online, there is a good chance that you can find a love interest online. In fact, you could probably find more than one!

Although social network dating has its advantages, there are disadvantages as well. One of the main disadvantages is the cost of using the networks service. As previously mentioned, online dating websites are the best type of social network to join, especially if you are looking for a romantic partner. Unfortunately, unlike most traditional networking sites, most dating sites require a paid membership. To many this membership is worth the cost, but overtime it could get quite expensive and you are not guaranteed any results.

In addition to the cost of dating online, there are a large number of safety concerns that could be considered disadvantages as well. Unfortunately, the internet has made it easy for individuals to claim to be someone who they are not. Essentially, this means that you could be starting an online relationship with someone who is not as they look in their photos or their personality is not as they described to you. While this will not only lead to disappointment when you find out, it could also lead to danger. There have been numerous reports of instances where online dates resulted in abuse or murder; therefore, you are always urged to be careful and meet your dates in a safe, public place.

The above mentioned advantages and disadvantages of social networking dating are just a few of the many. One you have examined all of these advantages and disadvantages, you can compare the two. If you find that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages then social networking and dating might be right for you.

Street Beggars in Klang Valley

TITLE: STREET BEGGARS IN KLANG VALLEY.
Why we choose beggars?
From our point of view, beggars are making serious problem in the Klang Valley after a few years ago.
There are three reasons why we choose street beggars as our topic:-
1. Will affect our social culture.  For example: human trafficking
2. Give bad image to our country. For example: tourism
3. Lack of enforcement by the authority.
The purpose of this issue is to give the awareness for the public about why this phenomenon can happen in our country.
Short Description:
The beggars are becoming a common sight along the streets in commercial areas, at night markets and outside restaurants and coffee shops.  While there are many generous people who give out of sympathy to these beggars, the public sentiment is that the beggars are a nuisance, especially when they harass people, chasing after them for money.  Sometimes, these beggars approach people who are having meals at coffee shops or at mamak's stall. Some people give the beggars some coins just to get rid of them, especially when the children are frightened by their dirty look.  Many people are wondering if the beggars are part of organised syndicates out to cash in on the sympathy and generosity of Malaysians.  The questions are how people want to solve this situation and what the authorities are doing to tackle this mushrooming problem.  They feel that the beggars are an embarrassment to the country, especially if they operate at tourist spots like the Petaling Jaya Chinatown.

Welcome

My dear students of Set 11

Welcome to our class blog.  As mentioned in the last class, each group can start posting your DST description to the blog from today onwards:)
